Mallika has a Masters in English Literature with a first class, first rank and trained to be a teacher with a degree in education. She followed it with a postgraduate diploma in Education Management from Sheffield University with an outstanding grade. A national Merit scholarship holder all through, Mallika is presently wrapping up her PhD thesis on facilitating teacher change. After two decades of teaching and holding various positions like Principal and Advisor, She presently heads Srikriti- The Teacher Education Centre at Chennai.

As a Charles Wallace Trust Scholar to Corpus Christi College, Oxford, she visited and interacted with academics in universities of Cambridge, Reading and Wolverhampton. An invitation took her to 'Apple's Classrooms of Tomorrow' at Cupertino, USA. Recently a grant took her to the University of Newcastle and Kings College, London, to explore the possibility of integrating ICT and Thinking skills in the curriculum.

As a director of Hornby schools in Srilanka, Pakistan and India, she was responsible for curriculum planning and delivery. She has presented several papers at national and international conferences hosted by IATEFL (Brighton), RELC (Singapore), International Reading Association (Philippines), University of Taichung (Taiwan) and Beijing Normal University (Beijing).She was a plenary speaker at the international conference on multi cultural education held in Lahore.

Mallika has trained hundreds of teachers in India and South Asia. She is an accredited Master Trainer for University of Cambridge (CIE).
She is passionate about reading, travelling and watching movies.

 
Elizabeth Aston  

Elizabeth Aston is has contributed greatly to structuring the CIDTT course for Srikritians and brings the much needed British insights to the delivery.

Elizabeth was born in Wales, United Kingdom. She trained as a teacher at Leeds University, England and later completed her Master of Education degree at Cardiff University, Wales.

She has been Head of Department, Head of Year, G.N.V.Q. Coordinator, Vocational Courses Coordinator, and Member of the Senior Management Team in UK. She also represented the staff as a School Governor and undertook Management Training in Industry.

For many years she was an External Examiner for the Welsh Joint Education Committee marking both written papers and assessing practical course work. She has helped write national examination papers and contributed to examination syllabi and course work materials.

During her career she has had opportunities to become involved in many new initiatives. She has worked on Curriculum Development, School Development, Special Education Needs, General National Vocational Qualifications and a variety of community and local government initiatives. At a national level in UK, she has worked on Technology in the Curriculum, Assessment and Evaluation and Records of Achievement. She has been a Teacher Consultant for DATA (Design and Technology Association) and trained as an Inspector of Schools.

 
Priya J. Krishnan  

Priya Jaikrishnan holds a masters degree in English and Education followed by PGCTE with a first class, first rank from CIEFL. She is a Fulbright Scholar on the International Educator programme to Dextral University, Philadelphia. She holds the CIDTT with the unique achievement of picking up a distinction in all the 4 modules! Priya has completed many hours of teaching at Srikriti as a part of our faculty team.

She enjoys teacher training and has led workshops on a variety of topics. She is Consultant Editor of V.V. Rajan & Company and has authored many textbooks. Priya is interested in performing arts, theatre and reading.

 
Dr. Gayathri Deepak  

Gayathri Deepak is a postgraduate in Human Development and Family Dynamics with a second rank in the university. Her doctoral thesis won critical acclaim from her Indian as well as the external examiner from UK. She has led many workshops for teachers and for health personnel.

Gayathri worked in Saudi Arabia as Head of School in an international school following the National Curriculum of England and Wales where she implemented the Cambridge International Primary Programme. Her job profile included conduct and delivery of on-going teacher training programmes in the school. She was a member of professional bodies like The Arabian Reading Association and Teachers of Young Children, and participated in regional conferences hosted by these associations.

Gayathri is currently a consultant on primary curriculum and as a Srikriti faculty, Gayathri brings her Indian and International experience to her teaching.

 
Dr. Ramani Johnson  

Following an M.Com, MSc in Psychology and M.Ed from Madras University, Ramani took her Ph.D. in Education from Union Institute University (Cincinnati, Ohio, USA) and has been a teacher, trainer and administrator for many years in a wide spectrum of organizations - University to Corporates. Ramani won the all India competition for a research paper presentation on Innovative Teaching practices and Experiments and received the National award from NCERT, New Delhi in 2003.

A recipient of many awards like the Graduate Scholarship Award from Union Institute and University for the year 2002 - 2003, University of Madras Dr. E.G. Vedanayagam Gold Medal for Excellence in performance in M. Phil degree examination and cash award from the University of Madras in the Faculty of Teaching for the year August 2000, Ramani likes to excel.

Armed with excellent communication and mentoring skills, Ramani has been a SRIKRITI faculty since 2004 and has trained hundreds of teachers. Assessment and using technology are her areas of expertise.

 
Shayamala Ranganathan
Padma V.
 

After her graduation she completed her diploma in Montessori education. She worked in a HR firm and trained parents and learners extensively.

Recently she did the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) course at Srikriti and picked up distinction in planning. She has been involved in the drafting of curriculum for pre-primary teacher training course. She has published a book on handwriting for children.

As a Srikriti researcher, she is involved in data collection, analysis and reporting for Curriculum Audit projects and as a faculty, she specialises in observation of practice and assessment.

 
Meera A. Janekar
Programme Coordinator
 

Meera is the nerve centre taking care of all the hassles that go with multitasking admin, finance and scheduling! But she does it with a smile and learners who walk in to our centre can't stop thanking her for her quiet support. Any technical trouble, its Meera again. Her commerce background, technology training and ofcourse her people skills are what she brings to her work at Srikriti.

 
Aparna S. Gharpure  

Aparna holds a postgraduate degree in Psychology and CIDTT certification. She has worked with different institutions in India and abroad in the field of Counselling and Early Childhood Education.

Aparna contributes to Srikriti's programmes through content creation, candidate counselling and learner support. Her commitment to perfection and ability to mentor effortlessly are qualities we cherish at Srikriti.
